In the meantime, learn more about Dental Implants with our FAQs

1. How much are implants?

Implants start at £2.5k per tooth (unit).

2. Can you get implants on the NHS?

Unfortunately, you cannot. In rare circumstances such as that for children who are born with missing teeth and those patients with previous mouth cancer, the treatment may be offered at the dental hospital.

3. How long do teeth implants last?

Dental implants last an average of 25 years. There are many reasons implants may last less than or longer than this average lifespan, however. People with good oral hygiene will see their implants last longer. Non-smokers will also benefit from long-lasting implants compared to smokers.

4. Are implants painful?

Dental implants are considered to be the best option to replace missing or damaged teeth. The procedure itself is not painful since it is performed with either general or local anaesthesia to completely numb the mouth. After dental implantation, once the numbness wears off, mild pain may be noticed.

5. What is the success rate?

Dental implants have a high success rate of around 95%, and they lead to an increased quality of life for many people.

6. How many teeth can you put on one implant?

Depending upon the condition of the person's gums and the bone, a single implant can sometimes be placed to support two adjacent teeth. More commonly, multiple implants are used to anchor fixed bridges or removable partials.
